About me
I offer counselling and psychotherapy in Hampshire and online for people aged 16 and over. Together, we can look at what’s going on for you emotionally, and try to make sense of your feelings. The idea is to build a healthier, more balanced way of relating to yourself and others, so that you can handle tough times, find moments to laugh, and feel more able to thrive.
A former City lawyer, I struggled for years with body dysmorphic disorder, anxiety and depression. I can offer empathy and compassion to you in your struggles, whatever they may be, and a safe space to explore who you are, and who you want to become. Now a BACP registered counsellor, I offer counselling in person, in nature and online. As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of approaches from my training and experience to tailor my work to each person's unique needs. My approach is all about self-discovery, personal growth, and finding your own path, rather than focusing solely on specific problems or symptoms. This kind of therapy is led by you, so you decide what you'd like to explore. I am here to support you in understanding your feelings and taking ownership of your thoughts and choices. It can be short-term or ongoing, depending on what you need.
I have experience working with clients with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, relationship difficulties, addictions, eating disorders and body image struggles. I provide a safe, confidential space to talk through whatever is troubling you, whether you can put a name to it or not.
Counselling, tailored to you
I offer counselling in central Winchester or Hursley or online. The Hursley room is based in beautiful landscaped gardens and woodland, which we can explore in our sessions if you would like. Many people find walking in nature whilst talking through their difficulties deeply healing.
People seek counselling for a wide range of reasons. Some may come for short-term support with a specific issue or decision, whereas others may choose to engage in longer-term counselling, using the relationship to support them in life. I offer both forms.
At its core, counselling is a collaborative process. Building a trusting relationship with another person can be highly empowering, often bringing greater clarity and perspective to your everyday experiences. While trained in the Humanistic approach, with a focus on Transactional Analysis, I adapt my approach to suit you. I aim to create an empathic and non-judgemental environment in which you can explore yourself and your life.

The first session provides an opportunity for me to gather a detailed history, understand the challenges you're facing, and explore what you hope to gain from therapy. It's also a chance for you to get a feel for how I work, and together we can begin to co-create a personalised path forward.
